The Wolfram User Experience Team is looking for talented User Experience Designers to help create desktop, web, and mobile apps. We are a growing User Experience Team that works on very diverse and exciting projects, learning from each other along the way, and we are looking forward to working with you, too!
Responsibilities:
- Design innovative and elegant interactions for data-rich web & mobile experiences across a variety of platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile, and more)
- Translate user needs and business requirements into clear, detailed specifications
- Analyze user tasks and research new trends in interaction design
- Create flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
- Facilitate team brainstorming and lead design reviews
- Collaborate with developers and visual designers
- Conduct usability tests and analyze user feedback
Requirements:
- Passion for simple, engaging, and intuitive design
- Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and a critical eye for visual design
- Ability to work with multiple projects and balance multiple priorities
- At least two years of experience in designing interactions for desktop software, mobile apps and/or websites
- Experience with user experience research methods and usability testing
- Degree in human computer interaction, information science, computer science, product design, psychology, sociology, or related field
- An available portfolio or samples of work
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in designing for a variety of mobile input technologies (touch, voice, camera, SMS)
- Experience in different programming languages
- Experience in using OmniGraffle, Axure, or other prototyping tools
- Experience in using Mathematica is a plus
