Wolfram Research is the creator of Mathematica, the world's only fully integrated technical computing system. We invite applications for our intern, fellowship, and job-shadowing programs.
Wolfram Student Internships
We're looking for students who are familiar with Mathematica, programming, systems administration, marketing, public relations, graphic design, business development, sales, and many other areas. Most of our internships are based at our company headquarters in Champaign, Illinois, USA—home to the top-rated University of Illinois and often called the "Silicon Prairie." There are also a few positions in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA and Oxford, United Kingdom.
The submission deadline for each year's summer program is April 1. We also offer a limited number of internships on a year-round basis, and we are happy to accept applications for them as well as for next summer's program. If you are interested in an internship, we urge you to complete our application form as soon as possible.
Science and Technology R&D Fellowships
We are now offering R&D fellowships connected to our Special Projects group. Fellowships are project-oriented, and can be anywhere between two months and a year in duration. Potential projects involve diverse areas of leading-edge science and technology. Typical applicants will have just completed a BS, MS, or PhD degree. Good knowledge of Mathematica is required. The positions can serve as excellent career springboards, and are based in Cambridge, Massachusetts or Champaign, Illinois. To apply for this program, please complete our application form.
If you're a student pursuing a career in education, then we have an opportunity for you! Through this program, one of our STEM initiatives, you'll learn how to use Mathematica to teach the STEM disciplines—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. You'll work with experts to create your own Mathematica-based courseware that you can take with you and use in your future classes. We'll also provide you with Mathematica so you'll have continued access to Mathematica throughout school and as you begin your career in education.

Mentors may include software development specialists, systems administrators, marketing managers, public relations associates, graphic designers, business development managers, sales executives, and more.
