I teach introductory physics and having students learn about dimensions and units is very important. I had difficulties with M8 until I learned about the AutomaticUnits package which resolved many of my difficulties, primarily helping to use Solve[] and Plot[] using variables with units in most, but not all situations.I was excited when Wolfram indicated improved support for units in Mathematica 9. I have this available on the university server. However, I have been disappointed, perhaps out of my own ignorance. I enclose a link to 2 files, one for Mathematica 8 and one for Mathematica 9 to illustrate my problem. I would appreciate any advice or assistance folks could offer.

I received a reply from Wolfram Tech Support suggesting I use the Evaluate function with the Plot function. This works, with a little effort. I will post a revised version of the Mathematica 9 notebook. There is more to play with.
