VP Business Development

Wolfram|Alpha is looking for an experienced web business development expert. Must have at least 10 years experience doing partnership and distribution deals with at least 5 years working in web. Experience in large companies (+$100mm) is a must whether having successfully negotiated with these companies or having been the person in these companies negotiating with outsiders.

Must have proven track record leading successful business development and/or sales teams with clear progressive career growth. Should have a reputation for negotiating fair "win-win" deals that have lead to on-going relationships and follow-on deals.

Job responsibilities:

Management of the Overall Business Development Function Including:
  • Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results
  • Develop and lead the Business Development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities
  • Build and lead an effective and cohesive management team
