Playing with free form input the other day, I decided to input the following:

Not only does Wolfram Alpha correctly assume this is a 12 base sequence, but it also gives great additional information that could be used to enhance a biochemistry course.
Things like:
Oligonucleotide melting temperature: a tool that is especially useful for PCR experiments:
49.7 °C (degrees Celsius)
(under standard PCR conditions)
The matching amino acid sequence:
