Some services provided by Mathematica Player require Mathematica Player to access our servers through the internet. When this occurs, our servers receive information similar to the information that would be received if you were browsing a website.
You can choose to prevent Mathematica Player from accessing our servers by disconnecting from the internet, or by telling Mathematica Player not to connect to the internet by using the Internet Connectivity item in the Help menu. If you choose not to allow Mathematica Player to access our servers, Mathematica Player will not be able to perform certain functions.
Wolfram Research understands your concerns about how personally identifying information is used, and we endeavor to use such information carefully and sensibly. We collect information on accesses to our servers by Mathematica Player in order to enhance and refine our service and content, and to prevent abuse and non-licensed use.
Under normal circumstances, we will never release information on accesses to our servers by Mathematica Player. We may, however, do so when we believe release is appropriate in order to: comply with law; enforce our License and other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of Wolfram Research, our users, data providers, or others.
