1999 Mathematica Visiting Scholar Grant Program Wraps Up
September 17, 1999--"Our most productive Visiting Scholar Grant Program to date" was how Roger
Germundsson, Wolfram Research's Director of Research and Development, described the 1999
program.
Set up in 1995 to complement a range of other grants offered by
Wolfram Research, the Visiting
Scholar Grant Program targets professionals
engaged in Mathematica projects that have the potential to make a major impact in their fields. Projects by this year's recipients included the
writing of Mathematica courseware or applications for chemical
engineering, statistical quality control, and robotics amongst many
others.
Those interested in applying for the 2000-01 grant program should
complete an
application
form by March 31, 2000.
