Wolfram Education Group to Offer Certified Mathematica
Training
January 31, 2001--In response to increasing demand, Wolfram Research,
Inc. has created Wolfram Education Group to
provide Mathematica training for individuals and corporations.
Wolfram
Education Group offers courses developed and
presented by instructors who have been certified through a rigorous
training program themselves.
Wolfram Education Group has also developed the Education Benefits
Program for employers. After establishing a training account,
corporations earn credit from employee class enrollment and receive
discounts on future training.
Designed for both novice and experienced Mathematica users,
Wolfram
Education Group courses are ideal for
analysts, engineers, researchers, and other professionals, as well as
for faculty members and students. Courses are delivered in a
computerized classroom environment and offer step-by-step instruction and
hands-on examples.
Wolfram Education Group's first offering, "A First Course in
Mathematica," is a two-day introductory class that
provides an overview of Mathematica and its wide variety of
applications. Open-enrollment classes are currently
scheduled in Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and New York City.
Although designed primarily for novice
users, "A First Course in Mathematica" is also recommended for
experienced and recreational users who would like to
broaden their basic understanding of Mathematica.
Wolfram Education Group plans to offer additional courses in locations
across the United States and internationally. To
aid in course development and need assessment, Wolfram Education Group is
seeking feedback on locations and topics
of interest. Individuals interested in Mathematica training are
asked to take a moment to complete the Open Training Interest
Survey on our web site.
