International Mathematica Symposium 2006

The International Mathematica Symposium (IMS) is an
interdisciplinary conference that welcomes both potential users and
experts of Mathematica in mathematics, natural and life
sciences, social sciences, law, engineering, graphics and design,
arts and music, education, industry, and commerce.
Held seven times since its inception in 1995, the Symposium is now
making its first appearance in France. The Symposium is refereed, and
all the contributions to the symposium will be archived on a free open
website. They will also be recorded on a CD-ROM or a DVD-ROM given to
participants, and a selection of papers will be published in the Journal of
Symbolic Computation and The
Mathematica Journal.

If you use or plan to use Mathematica in research or teaching, or if you
have developed or are developing products based on Mathematica, then the
Symposium is an opportunity to share your results with like-minded
colleagues. IMS has also built up a deserved reputation as an
exceptionally convivial and friendly gathering.
In 2006 it will be held in the prestigious setting of the Palais des
Papes in Avignon, France. The Symposium will run from June
19-23. Special rates have been negotiated with local hotels for
reservations made by March 23. Avignon is indeed a world-renowned
touristic city, so hotels reservations must be made very early. All

Call for Contributions
The IMS 2006 Organizing Committee seeks proposals for the following:
- Conference papers in oral or poster form
- Discussion panels and workshops
- Art exhibitions and installations
- Software demonstrations
- Displays by vendors and sponsors
