Opportunities for Students

Wolfram Research, Inc., makers of Mathematica, the world's only fully integrated technical computing system, invites applications for our intern programs.

Internships

We're looking for students who are familiar with Mathematica, programming, systems administration, marketing, public relations, graphic design, business development, sales, and many other areas. Most of our internships are based at our company headquarters in Champaign, Illinois--home to the top-rated University of Illinois and often called the "Silicon Prairie." There are a few positions in Concord, Massachusetts and Oxford, United Kingdom.

(Applying for an internship? Take the Mathematica Student Certification test to give yourself a competitive edge. Obtaining certification will show us your Mathematica skills as well as your initiative to get ahead. Please visit the website for more details.)

The submission deadline for each year's summer program is March 1. We also offer a limited number of internships on a year-round basis, and we are happy to accept applications for them as well as for next summer's program. If you are interested in an internship, we urge you to apply as soon as possible.

Science and Technology R&D Fellowships

We are now offering R&D fellowships connected to our Special Projects group. Fellowships are project-oriented, and can be anywhere between two months and a year in duration. Potential projects involve diverse areas of leading-edge science and technology. Typical applicants will have just completed a BS, MS, or PhD degree. Good knowledge of Mathematica is required. The positions can serve as excellent career springboards, and are based in Concord, Massachusetts or Champaign, Illinois.
