Meet the Instructors: Emmanuel Amiot

Teaching Experience
Emmanuel Amiot has had 19 years' experience teaching mathematics to post-high-school, undergraduate, and graduate students.

Mathematica Experience
A Mathematica user for more than 10 years, Amiot is working on developing a notebook specifically for rhythmical canon composition. He uses Mathematica for lectures, course notes, assignments, and problem solving when teaching mathematics to his undergraduate students. He also utilizes Mathematica in computer labs during workshop sessions and to teach algorithm basics.

French, English, and Italian

Interests
Music (piano solo and chamber music), mathematical theories of music (algebraic formalization of musical structures), trekking, mountain climbing, snowboarding, rock climbing, outdoor sports, and gastronomy
