Seminar Objective This seminar gives an introduction and overview of Mathematica within precollege, community college, and four-year college classrooms.
Presenter The seminar is presented by a senior member of the Wolfram Research Academic Initiatives staff.

  • Editing text, generating quizzes, and making presentations
  • Creating models in Mathematica to investigate classroom concepts
  • Accessing ready-to-use teaching models in math, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, engineering, music, and other subjects
  • Utilizing visualization tools and annotated graphics
  • Experiencing Mathematica's integrated data sources for chemicals, particles, cities and countries, financial instruments, astronomical objects, etc.
  • Applying and integrating data sources across disciplines and school departments
  • Using Mathematica's built-in documentation
  • Exploring the numerous resources available to teachers and researchers

Delivery Type The seminar is delivered online using Adobe Acrobat Connect. Use any one of the supported web browsers on your computer with Flash Player installed. Once you have registered for a session, you will receive a confirmation email with a seminar login link. To see and hear the presentation, click the link at the scheduled time, then simply log in to the online seminar.

Adobe Connect natively supports streaming audio and video. A telephone audio conference is also available, should you prefer to join via phone; a toll-free number is provided for callers in the U.S. and Canada.
