Background
The complexity of living systems requires a wide disciplinary background (for instance, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology) to process biological data, to construct models, and to simulate. Guillaume Santini offers consulting, prototyping, and software development services in life sciences (e.g., bioinformatics, genomics, molecular modeling, biophysics, and biochemistry). In parallel, with the development of quantitative approaches,
biologists need more and more frequently efficient computing tools in
their daily R&D. Guillaume Santini offers training courses to
improve computation practices with Mathematica.
Guillaume Santini received his PhD in molecular biophysics in 2005 from
Université Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris 6 in France. He works on the
development of a new theoretical molecular modeling approach based on a
continuous description of biopolymers with the use of the theory of
elasticity. After consulting for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as a scientific software developer, he joined the Université Pierre et Marie Curie as a post-doctoral researcher. In the field of structural bioinformatics, he developed a graph-based clustering
approach to classify protein structures into families for prediction with
threading.
Guillaume Santini is now an independent Mathematica consultant.
