Volodymyr Grinchenko became a user of Mathematica in 2008 while studying at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. He used the powerful capabilities of Mathematica and the Wolfram Language for transformations of analytic expressions while earning his MS degree in theoretical nuclear physics. Grinchenko used Mathematica to perform numerical calculations and experimental data processing while working on his PhD dissertation devoted to the problems of electromagnetic shielding. Also, he developed applications for applied problems from other fields of physics, such as modeling of gas distribution processes in an internal combustion engine and calculation and visualization of hinge-lever mechanisms.
Grinchenko is a senior research scientist at the Institute of Technical Problems of Magnetism of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ITPM of NASU), and his responsibilities include the mentoring of PhD students in studying Mathematica.
