Thomas Roux is a professional in the fields of finance, financial risk, and risk analysis. He first worked as a quantitative analyst at Coface, a globally operating credit insurer in France. Roux’s work at Coface involved developing insurance policy pricing models as well as a statistical study for rating models. Furthering his interest in financial risk issues, he worked as a financial analyst for the Canadian rating agency DBRS and then joined BRED Banque Populaire in 2008 as a financial risk manager.
During the last three of his professional experiences, Roux reports that Mathematica was probably the most helpful and time-saving tool he has worked with. Roux used Mathematica to focus on precise issues and provide quality reports for his managers. Thomas Roux is a 2012 winner of the Wolfram Innovator Award, recognized for developing an innovative web service solution for financial risk management, based on webMathematica and webUnRisk.
