Geodata Applied to Civil Engineering: The LEP/LHC Tunnel at CERN

The study presented here develops general principles from the initial design decided upon at CERN for the LEP/LHC circle in the 1980s. These principles could be applied to other projects, such as very large colliders or experiments on neutrino oscillations where the detector can be located more than 1,000 km from the source.
