The Wolfram Language: Image Processing Concepts and Methods

Monday, October 19, 9am–noon

$165 Standard | $115 Discounted

Shows how to use the Wolfram Language to accomplish a wide variety of image processing tasks and provides some of the theory and concepts to understand when to use particular methods. Topics include morphology, feature detection, image filtering, image segmentation, geometric transformations, and color processing. The course is for those who have some familiarity with Mathematica, the Wolfram Language, and image processing concepts.

The Wolfram Language: Visualization Fundamentals

Monday, October 19, 9am–noon

$165 Standard | $115 Discounted

Covers basic and advanced visualization topics in the Wolfram Language. Learn to create simple plots of functions and data, as well as complex interactive ones. Static and interactive graphics programming in the Wolfram Language is also highlighted, in addition to best practices that enable you to create large graphics efficiently. The differences between visualization techniques are illustrated with simple examples, which are then expanded to build larger real-world applications. This course introduces plot themes that are new in Mathematica 10.

Wolfram SystemModeler: An Introduction

Monday, October 19, 9am–noon

$165 Standard | $115 Discounted

Introduces the basic features needed to become an adept user of Wolfram SystemModeler, including drag-and-drop modeling, creating components, simulating models, and visualizing simulation results. The course also covers integrating Wolfram SystemModeler and Mathematica using Wolfram SystemModeler Link. This course is taught with SystemModeler 4.1.

Wolfram SystemModeler: Analysis and Model Design with Mathematica

Monday, October 19, 1–4pm

$165 Standard | $115 Discounted

Affords a deeper understanding of how Wolfram SystemModeler, the Wolfram Language, and Modelica work together. The course covers different ways to create models and components, model verification, and visualizing simulation results, as well as simulation control. The latest versions of SystemModeler and Mathematica are used in this course. Basic familiarity with Wolfram SystemModeler is a prerequisite for this class.

The Wolfram Language: Programming Fundamentals

Monday, October 19, 1–4pm

$165 Standard | $115 Discounted

Focuses on the structure of expressions and evaluation in the Wolfram Language, illustrating the many ways they can be used to design and implement more powerful programs. The course is for those who have a basic familiarity with Mathematica and the Wolfram Language. Basic skill level in any computer programming language is recommended.
