Numbers in Decimal Form

Sometimes it is important to see more decimal digits than usual for real numbers. When that happens, the new function DecimalForm becomes very useful.

Over many decades and throughout the world, different countries have used a variety of ellipsoidal models of the Earth, adapted to different regions of interest. Their semiaxes are similar, but differ slightly.

Take the first 12 ellipsoids given by GeodesyData.

Look at these three lengths.

This is the default display of those numbers.

Using DecimalForm on those quantities, it becomes easier to compare them.

Request two more digits after the decimal period.
