The Mathematica Story: A Scrapbook

Three Decades of Contributions to Invention, Discovery and Education

Stephen Rosenfeld, MD, MBA

I first used Mathematica when a version came pre-installed on my NeXT cube. It was a revelation. In an industry where computers have increasingly become appliances, with programs dedicated to a single function and programming and flexibility relegated to developer environments, Mathematica remains an unbelievably powerful and general problem-solving tool. Twenty-three years later, I continue to use it for visualization, data manipulation, brainstorming, learning, playing, biomedical research, analysis of business performance, market analysis, digestion of large datasets, and exploration of anything. It continues to be THE most enjoyable way I interact with my computer. Thank you!
