William Meyer is putting his award-winning aerospace research to work for Scattering Solutions, Inc. His company is leading the way in creating breakthrough solutions in light scattering, which include an innovative technology that applies to drug screening.

Mathematica provides sophisticated data analysis that enables researchers to prescreen drugs and determine whether they merit going to costly clinical trials.

Meyer expects Mathematica to play an even bigger role in the company's future discoveries. He is currently working on an application to run all of his light-scattering technologies with Mathematica. When that is finalized, Meyer's team will be able to prescreen thousands of drugs in a fraction of the time it takes now.
