The Wolfram Notebook Indexer has been included with Mathematica
5.2.
After autoinstalling the correct plug-in for Google Desktop Search,
Apple Spotlight, or Windows Desktop Search, the Indexer parses notebook
expressions so that Mathematica expressions, control language,
arbitrary defined Unicode characters including Japanese, Chinese, and
other 16-bit characters can be searched for.
The Indexer supports extra features in certain search engines, such as
special category identifiers in Spotlight.
