Will my subscription renew automatically?
All subscriptions purchased online are set to automatically renew. If at any time you would like to cancel your subscription, you can go to your Wolfram Account to stop future billing or contact Wolfram Customer Support.
What will my renewal price be?
Your estimated renewal price is displayed during checkout and is subject to change. You will be notified of any price increases or decreases at least 30 days prior to renewal.
Am I eligible for academic pricing?
Academic pricing is available to employees of an accredited educational institution for teaching, academic research or nonprofessional use. System Modeler can be used on your personal computer or a computer that is owned by the institution. You are not allowed to use this license for commercial purposes, government research or consulting for a commercial, governmental or nonprofit organization.
Proof of academic status is required.
Do I need to buy a commercial or government license for my consulting or nonacademic projects if I already have access to an academic license?
Yes. Pricing and discounts for System Modeler are determined based on use. Academic licenses may only be used for academic purposes, such as instruction and academic research, and may not be used for profit or profit-seeking ventures or production-level deployment.
If you want to use System Modeler for commercial purposes, government research or consulting for a commercial, governmental or nonprofit organization, you must purchase a commercial or government license.
How do I prove my academic status?
You can verify your faculty/staff status using any of the following methods:
- Provide a URL from your institution's public webpage or web directory that proves your status.
- Attach or send an email with a copy of your dated faculty/staff ID, latest pay stub or letter from the chair of the department or head of the college/school on school letterhead confirming your current employment.
You may submit your proof of academic status when you purchase your product or send the information within two weeks of your purchase.

Can I install System Modeler on multiple machines?
Each System Modeler license allows you to install the product on up to two machines or a single dual-boot system. These machines may be owned by you or your employer, for your work use.
Do I need Mathematica to use System Modeler?
No. System Modeler is a standalone product but can be used in conjunction with Mathematica or any other Wolfram Language product.
What if I change operating systems?
To reinstall Wolfram software on a new computer, please use the System Transfer Form.
I have a license for System Modeler desktop only. How can I upgrade to this new auto-renewing subscription?
If you have an annual license that has expired or is expiring soon, you can follow the link above to buy.
