Wolfram MCP Service connects Wolfram computation and data to your desktop LLM client. When your LLM identifies a question that needs accurate math or curated data, it calls Wolfram tools through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

How are results generated?

For factual answers, Wolfram MCP Service uses Wolfram|Alpha's curated knowledgebase, built from decades of expert data collection and verification. Computation is done using the Wolfram Engine evaluating Wolfram Language code.

Does MCP send my chat history to Wolfram?

Only the specific queries your LLM sends to Wolfram tools. Routine conversations stay inside your LLM client.

Does MCP work offline?

MCP requires an internet connection for Wolfram computation and data access.
