Alpha Particle Emissions

StoppingPowerData gives information such as mass stopping power, linear stopping power and absorption for specific substances.

This example explores how linear stopping power changes for alpha particles emitted by uranium as the particles travel through biological tissue.

IsotopeData includes information such as the binding energy value for uranium-235.

NDSolve can be used to simulate the energy decay as the particle travels through tissue.

The decay can then be visualized as a function of distance traveled.

And the stopping power, describing how the energy decays with distance, can then be shown as a function of distance traveled.
