Properties of the Planck Radiation Law

The function PlanckRadiationLaw describes the properties of electromagnetic radiation emitted by a body at a given temperature. This example explores some of those properties for a temperature of 5000 degrees Celsius.

This is the spectral radiance as a function of wavelength for the radiation emitted by a body at 5000 degrees Celsius.

Determine the peak and mean wavelengths as well as the color of the first.

Find the spectral radiance for the peak and mean wavelengths.

Compare the visible spectrum with the distribution of spectral radiance for the given temperature.

Calculate the total radiance in the spectrum of green light.
