Power Plus is a Mathematica Power subscription, plus a perpetual Mathematica desktop license that's yours to keep.
Bring Mathematica Power to Your Team
Mathematica Power Network gives your organization centrally managed, concurrent Mathematica access with shared compute capacity.
Share access
Serve users from one centrally managed license pool.
Pool compute capacity
Eligible users draw from shared controlling and compute processes.
Expand as demand grows
Add Compute Extensions to increase the shared pool.
Control your environment
Run clients and license management in your own infrastructure.
Scale beyond Power
Add more computational capacity or speed to your license when you need it.
Compute Extension
Increase your compute processes with each Extension.
Wolfram Compute Services
Use managed cores, memory and GPUs on demand when your hardware cannot do the job.
HPC Kit Coming Soon
Run Wolfram Language workloads on your Slurm cluster.
Mathematica Power Q&A
What is Power Plus?
Power Plus is the perpetual desktop option for Mathematica Power.
While the subscription is active, Power Plus includes the same benefits as Power. If the subscription lapses, you retain Mathematica desktop through the perpetual license included with Power Plus, but subscription-based benefits end.
Is a Mathematica Power subscription available for Student or Personal licenses?
No. Power is intended for organizations and single-user professionals.
Student and Personal users who need more parallel capacity can add a Compute Extension to an eligible license or subscription.
How is Power different from Compute Extension?
A Compute Extension adds compute processes to your current license and leaves the rest of your plan unchanged.
Power is a broader subscription that combines greater included compute capacity with AI Access Pro, EnterpriseCDF, expanded services and priority support.
Do I need to change my existing parallel code?
Not if your Wolfram Language code already uses parallel computation.
Existing code using functions such as Parallelize, ParallelTable and ParallelEvaluate can use the additional compute processes without being rewritten. Serial code must first be parallelized to benefit.
Will a Power subscription make every computation faster?
Yes, for work that runs in parallel. Code that already uses parallel computation can put the additional processes to work right away, and workloads that divide into independent tasks benefit most.
Serial computations run as before. Actual gains depend on the computation, your available CPU cores, memory and other hardware characteristics.
Does Power provide additional hardware?
No. Power increases the number of compute processes licensed for use by Mathematica. It does not provide CPU cores, memory, GPUs or other hardware.
For remote, on-demand hardware, use Wolfram Compute Services.
What can I deploy with Power?
Power includes EnterpriseCDF capabilities for creating and distributing interactive applications, dashboards, reports and other computational content.
Anyone you share with can open it in the free Wolfram Player. They do not need a Mathematica license or any paid software.
You can also publish to the Wolfram Cloud with CloudDeploy. Power includes 5× the Cloud Credits of Professional, so there is more capacity behind cloud-deployed work.
The applicable rights depend on how the content is distributed and whether it is intended for internal, external or commercial use.
Is EnterpriseCDF included permanently?
No. EnterpriseCDF is a benefit of a Power or Power Plus subscription.
If the subscription lapses, EnterpriseCDF is no longer available, including for a Power Plus license that retains perpetual Mathematica desktop rights.
Does Mathematica Power replace gridMathematica?
Not necessarily. The appropriate path depends on how gridMathematica is currently used:
- Network licensing with Compute Extension for shared Mathematica access and additional compute processes
- Mathematica Power Network with Compute Extension for shared capacity together with Power benefits

Are Wolfram Service Credits and Cloud Credits the same?
No. Wolfram Service Credits and Cloud Credits apply to different Wolfram services.
Wolfram Service Credits are used for eligible services such as Wolfram Compute Services. Cloud Credits apply to computation and other activity in the Wolfram Cloud. Power includes expanded allocations of both.
What happens if my subscription lapses?
With Power, access to Mathematica and its Power benefits ends.
With Power Plus, you keep Mathematica desktop through its perpetual license, including its 32 compute processes on a single-user license. Compute capacity does not step down.
In both cases the subscription benefits—AI Access Pro, EnterpriseCDF, cloud access, upgrades, support, credits and consulting—are no longer available.
Does Power renew automatically?
Most individual subscriptions are set to renew automatically. You can manage or stop automatic renewal in your Wolfram Account.
For a network or site license, contact us and we will confirm the renewal terms for your plan.
What does Mathematica Power cost?
Pricing depends on your license type, region and configuration.
