Overview

What Are Wolfram Microcredentials?

Wolfram Microcredentials are carefully collated collections of courses that focus on a specific area of study. Using the core curricula from our popular Wolfram boot camps and adding AI course assistance, we've created series of interactive courses that build sequentially to develop student skills and give hands-on practical experience. Wolfram Microcredentials include certification assessments that allow successful students to be awarded Wolfram Level 1 and Level 2 proficiency and expertise certifications in specialized areas of study.

FAQ

How much programming do I need to know before starting the microcredential?

The AI Programming with Wolfram Language microcredential is designed for individuals with basic programming experience, not experts. The first course in the program provides instruction in getting started with Wolfram Notebooks and Wolfram Language basics.

What math should I know before starting the microcredential?

Machine learning and neural network concepts make use of calculus, linear algebra, statistics and probability theory. Any mathematical knowledge you bring to the program will give you an advantage. Some helpful resources are available at Wolfram U.

What will I learn from this microcredential?

In addition to hands-on knowledge of neural networks, this program will teach you how to use trained and untrained models from the Wolfram Neural Net Repository and how to build and train your own models. You'll learn about machine learning superfunctions in Wolfram Language and how to program with LLM functions. The program explores applications using text, image, audio and video data.

What certifications are available?

A certificate of course completion is earned as you finish each component course in the program, with an overall certificate of completion for the full program earned at the end. Those who demonstrate proficiency with select exercises will be awarded Level 1 certification for proficiency in AI Programming with Wolfram Language. Participants who demonstrate applied expertise with an independent project will earn Level 2 certification.

What does the microcredential program fee cover?

The fee includes access to all component courses and completion certificates, a 90-day subscription to Wolfram Notebook Assistant + LLM Kit and certification assessments for Level 1 and Level 2. The program features a custom Microcredential Overview page where you can access the component courses, view certification details and track your individual progress.

Do the courses include access to the Wolfram U Course Assistant?

The Wolfram U Course Assistant is available with a subscription to Wolfram Notebook Assistant + LLM Kit. The microcredential program includes a complimentary 90-day subscription.

How can the Wolfram U Course Assistant help me?

The Course Assistant has been trained using the material from the course lessons and can answer any questions you might have—including those about Wolfram Language code. The Course Assistant can even suggest helpful questions whose answers and explanations will let you dive deeper into the material.

How do I earn a course completion certificate?

You must watch all the videos and pass the section quizzes to complete a course. The certificate is automatically generated and available in your progress tracker.

Do I have to complete all courses before taking the Level 1 certification?

Completion of all courses is highly recommended, as they provide the knowledge needed for certification, but it is not strictly required.
