Premier Service: webMathematica Amateur Request

webMathematica Amateur is available for free to people with primary Mathematica products subscribed to Premier Service. To obtain any Wolfram Research products or to subscribe to Premier Service, contact Wolfram Research or your local reseller.

Note: Although creating webMathematica applications is easy, installing webMathematica requires you to set up and configure a web server. This step is not necessarily straightforward if you are not familiar with web server technology.

Restrictions and Requirements

Your free webMathematica Amateur license comes with some important restrictions. The following points explain some, but not all, of the main requirements of product use and are not a substitute for the license agreement.

  • You are not allowed to re-create the Mathematica user experience with respect to either appearance or functionality on your website. This includes, but is not limited to, allowing access to raw- or free-form Mathematica. For example, providing a site where the user can choose a Mathematica function, enter arbitrary parameters, and compute a numerical approximation to arbitrary value would be considered a breach of the license agreement.

  • You are also not allowed to re-create the Mathematica user experience through the use of multiple sites.

  • You may use webMathematica on or with publicly accessible, noncommercial websites only. This means that you are not allowed to charge for access, or to limit access to your webMathematica Amateur site to specific users or to users from a specific domain. You may, however, require users to fill out a free registration form before giving them access. You may also limit access to your website during up to six months of initial development and testing.

  • You must provide Wolfram Research, Inc. with all relevant URLs within 14 days of making your site "live."

  • You are required to display one of the webMathematica banners provided by Wolfram Research on every page that accepts Mathematica input or displays Mathematica output.

To receive your free copy of webMathematica Amateur 2.3, please enter the license number of the Wolfram product for which you have a Premier Service subscription, in the form Ldddd-dddd. If you have not yet registered your product, you must do so before continuing.

Note: If you are using Mathematica through a site license, your Site Administrator must request webMathematica Amateur from your Wolfram Research Account Executive or certified reseller.
