Abrita Chakravarty

A Wolfram Certified Instructor since 2016, Abrita Chakravarty is the Content Development Manager with the Wolfram U team. Abrita is the author of the Multiparadigm Data Science interactive course and a contributor to many Wolfram U courses and programs. She is a favorite instructor at Wolfram Daily Study Groups and also teaches at Wolfram boot camps, training courses and webinars.

Prior to joining Wolfram U, Abrita was with the Wolfram Technology Group, where she provided advanced technical support to Wolfram Language users and worked on Technical Services projects developing applications for both clients and in-house use.

Abrita’s academic background includes studies in computational biology and computer science education. Her teaching experience began with in-person lectures and lab sessions as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses at Duke University. In addition to being a lead instructor for Wolfram U, Abrita currently teaches the course ECE101: Exploring Digital Technologies for Non-engineers at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She also teaches a Computational Art summer camp for local middle-schoolers. She is passionate about encouraging students of all ages to explore technical computing and modern coding and shares her expertise with various academic outreach programs.
